What is Andrew's Cocktail Hour?
Andrew is a singer with a voice that touches the soul. His passion for music is evident in every note he sings, and he has a gift for connecting with his audience on a deep emotional level.
The Cocktail Hour combines music from over 100 years. From the Gatsby era, right through to hits of now, Andrew creates a musical journey to please lovers of all musical eras. From the Big Band halls of the 1940's, to the 1960's in swingin' Las Vegas, 70's disco grooves at Studio 54, showstoppers from Broadway, and many more beyond... Way, way, beyond!!
Andrew's show can be tailored for your event, so whether you'd like smooth background singing, or a disco set to blow the roof off, this can all be suited to your needs. Standard set times can be arranged prior to your event.
The show is fully self contained, and Andrew proudly uses the best custom backing tracks possible. All of his stage equipment is of the highest calibre, is fully PAT tested and insured, and Andrew holds Public Liability Insurance though the UK Musicians Union.
Andrew uses incredible LD Maui speakers, with a maximum output of 1600w per speaker. This is perfect for any regular venue, large or small, as well as outdoor events.
The Journey to Andrew's Cocktail Hour
Since Andrew's first theatre show 30 years ago, he has performed all over the world, including in more than 1000 cruise ship production shows and cabarets, and multiple solo summer seasons throughout the Mediterranean and Canary Islands.
In the UK, Andrew has starred in pantomime, performed his solo show at venues across the UK, as well as performing in, and producing shows for weddings, charity balls, and corporate events, including work for BMW, Austin Reed, ITV, Alton Towers, and for First Direct Bank at the Leeds Arena.
During the pandemic, Andrew created and presented "Andrew's Cocktail Hour", a fortnightly online cabaret via Facebook Live, to bring people together when times were difficult. Andrew is extremely proud of this project, and was astounded when the shows gained over 20,000 views.... that's how Cocktail Hour was born!
Andrew is an accomplished host and compere, and has hosted many charity events, including recent work for The Welcome Break Charitable Fund, which raised over £30,000 for Macmillan Cancer Research, and for the North West Anglia NHS Hospital's Charity, at their annual Glitterball, on stage alongside TV's Craig Revel Horwood, and singer Nicole Lawrence, raising over £32,000 for their Cancer Wellbeing Centre.
